Sean Blagsvedt, CEO

Sean Blagsvedt is the CEO of, which connects employers to informal sector employees in the developing world - such as delivery helpers, maids and drivers - through a combination of mobile phones, location, skill and price filtering and social connections. The site has registered over 2 million job seekers, added 2.5 million job positions and raised Series A funding from Vinod Khosla Impact, Gray Ghost Ventures and USAID. The New York Times hails as a significant innovation that "seeks to bring the social-networking revolution to the world’s poor."

Previously, Sean spent 9 years with Microsoft in the Office, Windows and Research groups. In 2004, Sean moved to Bangalore as the 3rd member of Microsoft Research India, heading the Program Management and Advanced Prototyping team, focusing on novel approaches to mobile phones and technology in emerging markets.

Prior to Microsoft, Sean worked at the White House with the Internet Policy czar, Ira Magaziner. Sean holds dual bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Public Policy from Brown University (1998). He is a TED Fellow and married to founder Archana Prasad with whom they share a wonderful son, Vyom and dog Berlin.

Vir Kashyap, COO

Vir joined Babajob in February 2009 and heads Babajob's sales and operations efforts to serve employers. Previously, Vir was a partner at Indavest, a venture capital and incubation firm focusing on early‐stage investments in India. At Indavest, he generated deal flow and raised capital for deal execution.

Vir started his career in New York at Morgan Stanley where he assisted the firms alternative asset management clients raise capital from a global base of investors. More recently Vir was a member of the European business development and investor relations team at Vega Asset Management. Based in Madrid, he evaluated fund managers for inclusion on the fund platform and managed relationships with the fund's global investor base.

He experience includes a stint in Silicon Valley, where over the course of three months he helped launch the enterprise computing vertical at (now part of eBay).

Vir received a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Religion from Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Maine). He is an avid traveler having visited 6 continents and enjoys listening to music.

Bharani Setlur,

Bharani's role at Babajob is focused on scaling the business. As Chief Business Officer he has Product, Marketing/Public Relations and Sales/Customer Lifecycle Management under him. Bharani is passionate about Organising and Building Business with a process driven, design thinking approach to problem solving. With experience in UX/Usability/Interaction Design, data centric solutions, Big Data, Data visualisation and conversion metrics. His past experience has been in Conceptualising, Building, Deploying, Marketing and Growing Technology products and platforms, applications, experiences and services. With a background in strategic & concept design, product life cycle design, data centric solutions, with expertise in the field of Real-time Contextual Insights, Big data, Social Design, Information Architecture and Information Design, Usability/ interaction on fixed and mobile computing platforms, he brings a strong focus on execution towards scalable product solutions. Studied Design at the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad India, where he specialised in Communication Design, Film.

Maya Chandrasekaran, Director of Strategic Partnerships

Maya joined Babajob in July 2010 and heads Babajob's efforts to attract and retain job seekers. Most recently, she was with an urban MFI, Janalakshmi Financial Services Pvt. Ltd.. At Janalakshmi Maya was involved in treasury management, fund raising activities and product development. Prior to that, Maya worked with Capvent India Private Ltd., a private equity fund of funds. Her experience also includes stints at PricewaterhouseCoopers (M&A advisory) and Infosys Technologies (Corporate Planning).

Maya has a Bachelors degree in English Literature (Grinnell College, Iowa) and a JD in Media and Management (Syracuse University, NY). She loves to travel, read and watch foodshows on TV.

Renuka Thakur, Senior Technical Specialist

Renuka works as a software Engineer. She has worked with Philips on TV technology and Peek mobile previously.
She's passionate about improving the quality of the products.
Apart from work, she's a movie buff, loves comics and is a technology fan.

Vishal Singh, Associate Product Manager

Vishal is passionate about using technology products to impact people’s lives directly. He has been in multiple roles spanning functions from operations to business development and has also built houseofgrads, an education social network.
He is a graduate of IIT Delhi and has been a part of leadership program at Wipro. Post Wipro, he worked as a project manager in a product company.
At Babajob, he is involved with multiple aspects of the product and coming up with features and improvement to take Babajob to the next level.

Gugan N, Associate Manager

Gugan has recently completed his MBA from IIM Raipur.Prior to MBA, he was working with Aricent as a Software Engineer and has 4 years of work experience.
He is a travelling freak who likes to explore different places and is also a sports enthusiast.His hobbies are playing badminton, table tennis and swimming.

Prashanth BN, Web Developer

Praz has previously worked at Nokia R&D building Nokia Account for Ovi services on Lumia phones and is a BTech Grad from NITK Surathkal. At Babajob, his role is of developing front end and also experimenting with the existing user flows and improving them. In his free time he likes to read books, travel, play lots of games, star gaze and build his own bunch of apps. He also has his own Facebook page of over 100,000 likes - Troll scientist.

Viraj Sinha, Software Engineer

Viraj has been working with us for more than 1 year and 6 months. The first 6 months he worked as an intern. He loves playing tennis,badminton,table tennis.His favourite football team is Arsenal and being Indian he loves watching the cricket team. He also like biking around Bangalore and is still exploring areas where he can bike.

Pulkit Chaudhary, Software Engineer

Graduated in Bachelor of Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, major in Information Technology . Interested in playing basketball, cricket, and pool. I love checking out good food places; especially in love with Indian street food.

Himanshu Sahu, Software Developer

John Gibbons,AIF Clinton Fellow

John Gibbons comes to through an AIF Clinton Fellowship. He recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with majors in Chinese and Political Science, a minor in International Development Studies and a certificate in Social Enterprise. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball, listening to almost any type of music, trying new foods, and reading as much as possible.

Mrinal Mohanka, AIF Clinton Fellow

Mrinal is joining the team as an AIF Clinton Fellow. Prior to working at Babajob, he worked as a management consultant at Booz & Company in New York. His work there included improving digital customer experience, increasing revenues, monetizing data assets, building new loyalty programs, and enhancing marketing and operational effectiveness. His interest in social enterprise stems from experiences with the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, as well as the Omidyar Network, the eBay founder’s philanthropic investment firm in California, as he believes the double-bottom line impact these organizations can have is incredibly powerful and scalable. Mrinal graduated from Columbia University in 2012, with a BA in Economics and Sustainable Development. He is an avid sports fan, and enjoys trying new things, food, travel, and photography (the Instagram variety).

Anjan Kumar, Regional Sales Manager

Anjan heads our sales efforts to our largest employers and is constantly working to help them hire on For the past 13 years, he has worked across various industries that range from pharmaceuticals to digital retail, and everything in between. Previoulsy, Anjan worked at as a Sales Manager for 4.5 years before joining Babajob. Anjan graduated from Bangalore University in 1997 with a science degree. In his free time, Anjan enjoys traveling and agri-farming.

Tejeswini Walvekar, Customer Delight Executive

She is from Bangalore. Before babajob she worked for Seera international pre-Schools in Hsr Layout and also for Karnataka Television industry for more than 3 Years. Her hobbies are reading novels,singing,dancing,acting. She is fun loving and interested in making more friends. She loves to coordinate with new people and understand their views.

Sairam Batal, Data Acquisition Executive

Sairam is the Data Acquisition Executive at Babajob. He calls employers to help post their job listings on our website.

Sairam worked at Kean International for 2.5 years as an administrative assistant and afterwards at Mphasis for 1 year as a customer support executive before joining the Babajob team. He is from Odisha, or Orissa, home of the traditional Ghumura Dance. Sairam keeps fit by going to the gym and playing cricket, as well as other sports. He enjoys listening to music and wearing large, pointed, leather loafers.

Vinod Manova, Administrative Assistant

Vinod has been at Babjob since its inception. He has worn many hats during his time with us; working as a Marketing Executive, a translator, and even as a customer care representative before settling into his current position, Administrative Assistant.

His boundless energy and playful antics liven up the staff daily. Before joining Babajob, Vinod worked as a driver in Bangalore. Vinod enjoys eating meat, making friends, and keeping his facial hair stylish with aid of his handy-dandy moustache comb.

Kiran Kumar, Data Acquisition Executive

Kiran joined Babajob in May of 2011. As a Data Acquisition Executive, he engages with employers and helps them list job posting on the Babajob website. Kiran was born and brought up in Kolar Gold Field. Prior to Babajob, he worked as a Customer Support Executive for 3 years at Genesis Infratech Private Limited. His hobbies include: playing football, hockey, and cricket; as well as listening music. In Kiran’s own words, “I am proud to be a part of the Babajob team, where there is a good work environment, good colleagues, and supportive management.”

Aparna Gurumurthy, Office Manager

Out of her love for animals, Aparna was managing a pet boarding facility before she joined the Babajob team in June 2014.

Apart from working at Babajob, she loves spicy food, watching horror movies, traveling to places halfway across the world, running, reading and is a big believer in taking chances.

Dhanalakshmi Parameshwara, Domestic Technician

Dhanalakshmi has been the resident motherly figure at Babajob for almost two years. She makes sure that we have a clean working environment and brings us tea and goodies when we run out of steam. Before joining us, Dhanalakshmi worked for a family for three years, a job which she found through She enjoys wearing saris and eating vegetarian food.

Ravi Venkatesan

Ravi is the former chairman of Microsoft India and was voted the Most Influential MNC CEO of 2011 by the Economic Times. He is on the board of a number of enterprises, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations.

Before Microsoft, Ravi worked at Cummins Inc., the world’s leader in engines and related technology, for sixteen years. As chairman of Cummins India Limited, he helped transform the company into the leading provider of power solutions and automotive engines in the country. Ravi also has an illustrious academic career. Graduating and receiving awards from top universities in both India and the States. Brian Cayce

Brian is the Vice President at Gray Ghost Ventures. Actively involved in establishing Gray Ghost’s impact-oriented venture capital investing, Brian currently leads the firm's analysis, evaluation, execution and governance of venture capital investment opportunities. He manages a varied portfolio and has sourced, executed and/or performed governance roles for the following investments: MicroPlace (2006 – eBay); RentBureau (2006 – Experian); ParaLife (2006); United Villages (2007); CellBazaar (2007 – Telenor); d.light (2007); SourceTrace (2007); BEAM (2008), Emergence BioEnergy (2008), iSend (2009), Movirtu (2009), mDhil (2009), PharmaSecure (2009), bKash (2010), M-Kopa (2011) and Babajob (2012). In addition to his corporate board service, Brian serves on the boards of local nonprofit organizations. Brian graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of Georgia’s Honors Program, and earned an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Brian resides in Decatur, Georgia, with his forgiving wife, and lovely son and daughter.


Ira Weise

Ira worked as the Managing Director of Babajob from its inception until April 2008, when he re-located back to the United States.

Prior to Babajob, Ira founded a variety of companies as an experienced entrepreneur over the last 25 years. In 1983, he and a fellow law school friend started 800-Software, one of the US's first mail order software companies, and the first to offer free technical support, toll free order lines, and shipment from an existing inventory.  When it was sold to Digital Equipment 10 years later, it was one of the nation's five largest software retailers, with offices throughout the US and annual sales of $180 million. Following 800-Software, Ira was president of Software Sciences in Eugene, Oregon which created and sold software for the residential real estate industry until his retirement in 1996. Prior to starting 800 Software he taught elementary school in California and Jakarta, Indonesia, practiced law in San Jose, California, worked as an adjunct faculty member at the USF School of Law and started a real estate foreclosure company. Ira holds a JD degree from USF, a Masters in Educational Administration from California State University at San Francisco and a bachelor's degree from University of California at Santa Cruz. 

Ashwin Mahesh

Ash is the CEO of, where, in his words, his job "lets him explore many ways in which technology can help meet the challenges posed by social problems, and act as an evangelist for some of those things to happen." Ashwin also co-edits the public affairs magazine, India Together, and is on the Visiting Faculty at IIM Bangalore's Centre for Public Policy.  He happens to have a PhD in climatology and once ran laser satellites over Antarctica for NASA as well.

Tim Campbell

Tim Campbell is the founder and managing director of Maymont Capital Advisors AG, a Zurich based company providing research and advisory services to venture capital and private equity investors. Tim previously worked for venture fund Richmond Global, overseeing the fund’s investments in India from New Delhi, where he focused on investments in emerging communications technologies including mobile payments, mobile advertising, and messaging.

Prior to joining Richmond Global, Tim studied European political integration and transatlantic relations as a policy analyst at the Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis (IFPA) in Washington, D.C. and at the Centre Français sur les Etats-Unis at the Instut Français des Relations Internationales (CFE-IFRI) in Paris. Tim began his career interest in telecommunications as a financial analyst for MCI WorldCom; he also worked as a financial analyst for CapitalOne Financial. Tim graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and earned a B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary. Tim currently serves on the board of C&J Clark, Ltd.

Vibhore Goyal

Prior to, Vibhore worked as a developer for Microsoft Research India on a variety of projects including Virtual India ( and the MSRIndia SMS Server ( Before joining MSR, he was the founding member of several other companies including ROS, which built Linux based OSs for mobile phones. Vibhore's areas of interest include Security & Networking and he holds a B. Tech. + M. Tech. in Electrical Engg. from IIT Bombay.
