Sean Blagsvedt
Founder - CEO

Sean launched his career working at the White House with Internet Policy Czar–Ira Magaziner. He then went on to spend 9 years with Microsoft, owning Messenger Integration, Speech Recognition and Windows Vista’s IM experience. Setting up and helping found Microsoft Research India in 2004 was what brought Sean to India, what kept him here is another story. Sean’s vision for Babajob stemmed from his focus on innovative technology adoption in emerging markets, and Duke University and World Bank research. For his contribution to organizing the informal sector in India through Babajob, Sean received the Namma Bengaluru award for Best Foreign Resident in 2014. Along the way Sean met his beautiful wife, Archana Prasad, with whom he shares a wonderful son, Vyom, and the Babajob family dog, Berlin. Sean holds a degree in Computer Science and Public Policy from Brown University,

Vir Kashyap
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Vir Kashyap moved to India 8 years ago and co-founded Babajob. Vir manages the strategic direction of the company, all strategic partnerships and governs financial aspects of the business. Previously, Vir was a partner at Indavest, a venture capital and incubation firm focusing on early‐stage consumer investments in India. Prior to that, Vir was part of the Business Development team at Vega Asset Management based in Madrid. After getting a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Religion from Bowdoin College (Maine), Vir started his career at Morgan Stanley in New York where he assisted the firm’s Alternative Asset Management clients raise capital from global investors. His experience includes Epinions.com (now part of eBay) where he helped launch the enterprise-computing vertical. Along the way, Vir actively advises other passionate startup entrepreneurs and is co-founder of the Bangalore Social Enterprise Group. He enjoys his music and has been known to spin a few tracks for the crowd at times.

Maya Chandrasekaran
Chief of Talent

Maya demonstrates that hard work can be fun and that success is achievable with a talented corporate team that is aligned and cohesive. Maya joined Babajob in 2010 as Director of Strategic Partnerships and currently, as Chief of Talent, she has the challenging task of attracting and managing talent as the company grows rapidly. Maya was previously with Janalakshmi Financial Services Private Ltd. At Janalakshmi, Maya was involved with Treasury Management, Fund Raising, and Product Development. Prior to that, Maya worked with Capvent India Private Ltd., a private equity fund. Her experience comprises some notable professional appointments including an M&A advisory position with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Corporate Planning for Infosys Technologies. Maya holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Grinnell College, Iowa, and a joint degree in Media and Management from Syracuse University, New York. Apart from being an avid reader, published author, amazing wife and mother, she also loves to travel and watch TV food shows.

Bharani Setlur
Chief Business Officer (CBO)

An avid problem-solver and strategist, Bharani's role at Babajob is focused on scaling the business. Bharani is hugely passionate about organizing and building business with a process-driven, design-thinking approach to problem-solving. His experience includes; UX/Usability/Interaction, Design, Data Centric Solutions, Big Data, Data Visualization and Conversion Metrics. Prior to Babajob, Bharani was CEO at Webfluenz. He was Director and Co-founder at 4am Design and Technology Labs and Vamooz.com where he designed and implemented product roadmaps, product ecosystems, and applications for fixed and mobile computing operating systems. Through his strong background in Strategic & Concept Design, Product Life Cycle Design, Data Centric Solutions and with his expertise in the field of Real-time Contextual Insights, Big Data, Social Design, Information Architecture and Information Design, Usability and Interaction on fixed and mobile computing platforms, he brings focus on execution towards scalable product solutions. Bharani studied Design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India where he specialized in Communication Design, Film.

Rishi Dogra
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Rishi arrived at Babajob as the legendary, New Age marketer with mammoth experience in Consumer Engagement, Digital Marketing, Sports Activation & Integrated Marketing Communications. He has the honour of being Babajob’s first CMO. His goal is to indoctrinate the country by owning all end-to-end customer experiences, across all touchpoints. Prior to Babajob, Rishi was Head of Digital, Pepsico, India Region. In 2010, he set up digital functions and oversaw all portfolio brands and platforms. He has many feathers in his cap from Pepsico including Mobile Marketer of the Year, 2015 - MADDIES Award, Mobile Marketer of the Year - SMARTIES Digital Award, 2015, One Show Interactive for Pepsi IPL, 2013, Digiratti Award 2012, Grand Effie Award 2011, Brand Marketing Team of the Year Award, 2011 amongst many others. In fact, during this time, PepsiCo was chosen as Facebook’s first Global Case Study for an Indian Campaign - Pepsi Change the Game in 2011. Rishi earned his PGDM in Marketing, Strategy and Leadership from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. In a past life he was also an actor. He’s a passionate biker, dabbles in all things creative including painting and playing the drums, and he loves outdoor adventures.

Giridharan Natarajan
Head - Product

Getting a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science was a piece of cake for Giri (that’s what we call him here). So one fine day, he decided to make the most of being a Software Engineer by launching one of the first location​-based services in the world for OnMobile Global. After doing a bit of techie stuff for a couple of years like developing a few more products, ​he decided to pursue ​an MBA in ​General ​Management ​from IIM, B​angal​ore. While completing ​his MBA, ​he took on another techie stint interning with Yahoo as a Product ​Manager. After​ completing his Master’s, Giri ​pursued Product Management ​at Microsoft and Vodafone​, and then went on to head the Product vertical at Simplilearn. Over the last few years, Giri has worked in many industries including online advertising, search, education and network safety. ​He is awesome at creating products for emerging markets. In ​his free time, ​Giridharan enjoys outdoor activities. ​Giri is an advanced diver, certified fitness trainer, an avid runner having completed many 10k and half-marathons (including the Ladakh marathon). He enjoys crossword puzzles, brainteasers and Sudoku. He also loves a good game of poker. We’re placing our bets on Giri!

Harsha SN
Senior Vice President - Engineering

A virtuoso in the Engineering world, Harsha has created products for more than 200 startups in both Silicon Valleys (on both sides of the ocean - Bangalore and California). He comes with 15 years of experience in creating powerful solutions in mobility, analytics, social and cloud areas. He has worked with customers from all across the globe (good thing he likes to travel). Prior to Babajob, he was Assistant Vice President of Engineering at Sourcebits. He has also worked as a Senior Architect for the Nokia Messaging platform with over 200 million active users and was named Global Nokia/Symbian Innovator of the Year (2008). Harsha holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) in Computer Science and Engineering, and has completed the Executive General Management Programme in Strategy and Innovation from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.

Akshat Kansal
Vice President - Engineering

In Akshat’s prior life, he was a DevOps leader for a start-up, and helped with strategy and execution of the product, improving the product scalability, quality, reliability and customer experience. He has massive experience in designing systems for scale, implementing private and public clouds at an enterprise scale, and obsesses over data centre automation. Akshat is a VP of Engineering at Babajob. He’s responsible for infrastructure, DevOps, and scaling up Babajob. He’s focused on building automation and intelligence every step of the way. Akshat holds a degree in Information Technology from UPTU and is the main man when it comes to defining and executing the overall technology strategy for Babajob. He’s fascinated with implementing technology at scale and when it comes to supporting strategy and ground-level execution Akshat is leading the way!

Atul Mishra
Business Operations

Atul's role at Babajob is focused on scaling revenue in a strategic execution role. Atul is intensely passionate about Sales, Account Management, and Client Relationship Management. He also knows how to keep a watchful eye on processes and data. His experience includes Revenue Operations, Program Management, Six Sigma and Delivery. In his last role, Atul led the South East Asia Sales for Concentrix Corporation (NYSE:SNX) and while at Concentrix he held various sales/account management roles across many geographies. Prior to Concentrix, he also worked at Adobe and Genpact across functions such as Consulting, Operations and Customer Support. Atul, who holds an executive MBA from IIM Calcutta, is currently hibernating in Bangalore. When he’s not at work, you can find him engaging in adventure sports, travelling, reading, or just pub crawling across Bangalore’s local breweries.
