Job Description Civil Site Engineer:
Job Title: Site Engineer
Key Elements of the Role
• Supervision of day to day operations of the site work
Key Result Areas & Outcomes expected from the Role
Project Control/Execution
• Responsible for day to day site work
• Follow up with site engineers of Contractor and/or subcontractor to ensure that work is
being carried out as per design drawings, specifications & meeting planned dates in
schedule
• Interact with Project Manager for clarification in design/ RFI etc.
• Daily reporting about progress, non compliance, delay in work to the Project Manager
• Ensure that Communication regarding any changes in plan have reached the
engineers/Contractors and/or Sub-Contractor’s Representatives
• Conducting regular job site inspections
• Actively monitor the work environment for hazards
• Assist in the quality and safety audit
• Identify and highlight possible risk on project
• Assist in necessary project documentation
• Accurately inventorying the jobsite and ensuring that the supplies are properly
maintained
• Support in finalization of Billing Break ups, Bill Certification etc.
• Coordination for verification of extra claims raised by the contractor
Health, Safety & Environment
• Monitor evaluate and ensure that all work is being carried out safely
• Implement technical and safety requirements for the project
• Review and comment on project contractor’s method statement and risk assessment
• Ensure that the main contractor’s HSE plan is being implemented and report all non
conformance to the HSE manager
Quality
• Attend and review all benchmarking meetings
• Ensure construction QA/QC processes are being implemented by the contractor & sub
contractors
• Report any non conforming work
• Identify and report technical queries to field engineering Educational Qualification
B.E / B.Tech in Civil from an institute/University recognized by UGC/AICTE preferable with a
Post graduation in Construction Management
Experience
Essential:
3-5 years of experience for a Post Graduate in Construction Management
5-10 years of experience for B.E / B.Tech in Civil
Technical / Functional Skills Required
Should be well versed with Project Management technologies
Understanding of business risks & management

RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing job sites/day-to-day operations
Main Activities
Communicate with clients about renovation via phone and/or email:
• Discuss any questions/concerns with client about their renovation, provide feedback
• Discuss change orders required
• Meet with clients as required
• When change orders are approved by client, schedule work to begin
• Notify office of payments that will be collected each day/week
• Pick up cheques and drop them off to office
• Resolve conflict
• Responsible for final walk through of job with owner and client
Responsible for completing deficiency list
Communicate with Elite team members
• Lead/instruct Elite employees, delegate responsibilities, divide tools each day
• Track, review, and sign time sheets of employees
• Schedule labourers

Here is a brief outline of the profile of the person we are looking to hire:
Dextrous, smart, good with mechanical engineering concepts, good understanding of materials, high math aptitude especially geometry, high on analytical skills.
Knowledge of mechanical design software would be a bonus but not completely necessary.
The job role is mostly mechanical assemblies, design, problem solving, testing and some prototyping.
If some knowledge on electronics exists, that's again a bonus.
