We are looking for wonderful dedicated developers who are crazy smart, can learn and are willing to experiment. Over the last 6 months, Babajob’s traffic has traffic exploded 10x, we need a DevOps Architect with experience in web scale and want to solve “hockey stick growth” problems. With just 3 existing devs on the team now, we also need people that want to form the core of growing development team and can lead others.
We want every employee to be as committed to the success of this endeavor as we are, and thus our compensation packages are attractive and stock option packages are available as well.
Responsibilities
• Own our server side scaling plan on AWS.
• Define and implement our server APIs for the mobile application, voice services and mobile web
• Build our notification engine to send 100,000s of email and SMS alerts per day.
• Own Server to Server infrastructure for partner services
• Own our analytics platform (which drives the rest of the org to make better decisions)
Desired Experience
• 4-10 years coding for web servers creating some amazing and hopefully popular sites on your own or inside a company.
• Experience with Solar, Elastic Search, ASP.NET4.5, MVC, Redis, MemCache or the LAMP stack and MS SQL are a plus. (We currently are running .NET 4.5, MSSQL ElasticSearch but are not ideological about our platform choices)
• Experience with scale and serving 100,000s of users (Experience in highly scalable async code and queuing systems is a plus)
• Managing and mentoring other software developers
Nice to Have
• Experience with modern web/mobile standards and APIs - e.g. the FB API, JSON,, Objective C, OpenSocial, PhoneGap, HTML5, CCS3, etc.
• Experience in a start-up is a plus
